Malawi
Malawi is situated between Tanzania, Zambia and Mozambique and is home to some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the world. It is known as the ‘warm heart of Africa’ and the people of Malawi are among the friendliest you will ever meet.
Despite being a compact country in this diverse continent, it has so much to offer that some describe it as the most attractive country in Sub-Saharan Africa. Malawi has a diverse variety of wildlife living amidst the stunning scenery.
You will also find Africa’s highest mountain with a vast high plateaux showcasing a seemingly endless view. There are many forests, unspoilt game parks and Malawi is also home to the third largest and most beautiful lake in Africa.
Why not discover Africa’s Big 5 within the nine national parks that Malawi has to offer? Or perhaps take a walk in the highlands while gazing across the stunning backdrops and mixing with those highly friendly locals.
Take a boat trip across the gorgeous lake, or perhaps try your hand at kayaking or sailing. If you would rather see what is happening below the surface, you could go scuba diving or maybe try a bit of snorkelling. Then end your expedition chilling out by the lake, sampling the local cuisine and gazing up at the vast starry sky.

Morocco
Just a short flight away, but a world apart in climate and culture. Morocco is a colourful extravaganza for the senses. With a mixture of bustling cities, tiny Berber villages and remote mountain ranges, Morocco is undoubtedly a magical place to visit.
Dive in to the hustle and bustle of the cities. Discover the ancient Kasbahs and explore the spice markets. Take in the heady aromas and let the brightly coloured spices tantalise your senses. You could haggle for a bargain in the souks of Marrakech and stock up on souvenirs from your trip.
Or go off the beaten track in the countryside to complete your Gold D of E Award trekking across the stunning terrain. Explore the local villages and relax with some delicious sweet mint tea at the end of the day. There is an art to pouring the tea from a great height, how high do you think you could pour from?
While in Morocco, how about exploring the Atlas Mountains which are just north of the Sahara, giving the mountains a unique desert-like climate themselves. They are hot during the summer days and experience cold desert nights due to the open terrain.
During the winter time Jebel Toubkal, the highest peak in northern Africa, is covered in snow. Mount Toubkal stands at 1,167 m at its peak and it takes approximately 4 days to walk to the top. This is the perfect introduction to high-altitude hiking.
You could go on a desert exploration trekking and camping. There are few more awe inspiring experiences than staring up at a starry desert night sky. Or perhaps you would like to live and work amongst the locals in the Berber villages and help to complete a community project.
With expeditions from 10 to 30 days, no wonder Morocco is one of our most popular destinations. Give us a call to see what we can do for you today.
